When developing Dry Den, we wanted a product that would absorb more moisture and increase animal health by eliminating respiratory illness and hoof infections (two of the leading illnesses for stalled animals). We did this by including zeolites in the pellets. A naturally occurring mineral, zeolites help with odor control and absorption. They also neutralize ammonia and toxic gas released by composting manure. With pellet bedding, stalls can be spot cleaned quickly. And the soiled bedding creates a compost base and begins to decompose right away. Plus, animals will be more comfortable in a dryer and cleaner stall.
